Fall 2013 Nail Trends

It’s that time of year again!

Time to take out our cozy fall sweaters, scarves and favorite booties. The best accessory to our fall fashions is the right shade of nail polish. Gone are the days of my mom who always matched her nails to her lipstick. Today, nail color is chosen because it’s what’s in style and trendy. The nail color you choose should always complement your skin tone, but there’s no need to be matching it to your clothing or makeup. Have fun with your nails and be daring!

New York Fashion week designers show cased all the fall nail trends. Designers like Monique L’Huillier, BCBG Max Azria and Chanel all showed glossy blacks like “Licorice”  and metallics like “Over the Top”, both by: Essie . Metallics are back in and all the fall craze. Orly’s new fall collection of metallics have been a BIG hit at Bliss. We Bliss Girls have been busy painting colors from the most neutral metallics like “Buried Treasures” to gunmetal grey “Seagurl” to rich deep purple “Velvet rope”, all by Orly.

For those of you who are cringing right now … DON’T! Just think – nail polish is NOT a long term commitment , so take a risk and have FUN with it this season!

    Hi Elly,
As metallic colors are very trendy right now, Orly makes a color that is one of our fav’s at Bliss. It’s called ” Royal Navy ” . It is also available in shellac as an option. Matching the hands to the toes is always classic , especially for a formal affair . This will tie everything together. If you decide not to match then a neutral option like a sheer , clean nude like vinylux “Studio white” or ” romantic” are great pics.
