FUN NAIL COLORS FOR FALL

The summer passed in the blink of an eye, but with the crisp air of fall upon us we can also look forward to comfy sweaters, leather jackets and fun new nail colors.

progelWe’ve seen a lot of long pointed nails with over the top embellishments in the past few seasons on the runway, but these have all taken a backseat at New York fashion week.

This year they brought back the understated manicure, short rounded nail with subdued tones consisting of mostly greys, nudes and metallics.

But let’s face it, the most common and most beloved of all is the classic red. CND’s Rose Brocade and Essie’s Dress to Kilt have been a huge hit so far this fall. Makes for an amazing transitional color going into the darker shades of winter.

The always overlooked blues have totally made a comeback this year also. I’m not talking about that electric blue your 12 year old daughter wears, it’s the sophisticated deep blue grey and blue blacks that have caught everyone’s attention, like CNS’s Indigo Frock and Essie’s Inky Cobalt Blue.  Let’s not forget about the metallics I previously mentioned.  Everyone always seems afraid of a little shimmer.  They turn up their nose and say it reminds them of their grandmother.  Well, don’t be nervous, we now use our nails as accessories, so glam it up a little this season with a little Crimson Sash by CND, a rich, crimson with gold shimmering undertones. ProGel has also a beautiful pewter color called Nirvana Nights that is beautiful and classy for a day at the office or an evening out. So sexy, sophisticated and versatile, it’s a must try for fall at Salon Bliss.essie blue

So step outside your comfort zone this season and try out one off the new fall colors.

Choosing a nail color is not a long term commitment, so have fun with it and be a little wild this fall.
