30 Aug Let’s get things started!
Welcome to my new blog! When the lovely ladies who started this site asked if I would be interested in contributing to the fitness section by blogging, I was so excited to be part of it!! I am not great with words or expressing my thoughts on paper, but I have so much to share when it comes to fitness and living a healthy lifestyle that I said “YES” right away.

I’m not chauffeuring the kids to hockey, I’m off to play!
They also asked me to keep it real and that I can do. The ultimate goal of this site is to help women be happy, healthy, successful, and to be the best women that they can be.
While I am sure my focus on fitness in my life is more than the average woman, mostly because it’s my job, however it is not my entire life. In real life, I am a woman in my thirties, I work, I have two very busy kids, a husband who works a lot, a house to clean, carpool, homework to deal with, family and social obligations, mountains of laundry to do and . . . I could go on and on. My point is that in the midst of real life I have to find ways to stay fit and eat healthy. I do find ways; it is possible!
Sadly I also have a sweet tooth. I am not a naturally skinny girl. I don’t particularly love vegetables. I have to enforce some discipline on my own eating and sometimes it is so hard.

If only we all lived on the set of The Biggest Loser where your sole purpose for that timeframe is to focus on you and your fitness. If only we could drop all of our responsibilities and have a staff and facilities at our disposal 24 hours a day to help us achieve our fitness goals. Sadly, reality is not so much like that 🙂 In order to stay fit in my world, I need to schedule, plan, prepare, be disciplined and push myself.
So most definitely in blogs to come I will be talking about all kinds of fitness stuff: how to tone up your booty, how to run 5 kilometers without feeling like an oxygen tank needs to be waiting for you when you are done, things like when is the best time to have protein – before or after working out. We will even talk about great tank tops, sports bras and my addiction to sneakers! Mostly, I hope to succeed in helping you, in inspiring you, in educating you with my knowledge, real life experiences, tricks and tips, hits and misses, my successes. Do you want to be fit? Then LET’S DO THIS!!!!

Women have to learn to make time for ourselves. Our own special time. Great website. I look forward to following your blog!
