When Lisa and I created Wise Women Montreal, we had one goal in mind. We wanted to be able to use our blog to give back to our community with stories, information and resources. Above all, we hoped our online presence would touch the lives of our readers in a meaningful way. That’s why we’re sharing Matthew Schreindorfer’s story.

When someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, sadness, fear and frustration abound. You want to be able to do something, anything, to help, but you’re limited in our capacity to make a real difference.

In August 2014, Matthew Schreindorfer was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 24. After three grueling courses of chemotherapy, one clinical trial, and multiple taxing biopsies and transfusions, Matthew is not in remission. His last hope is to participate in a CART-19 clinical trial, which has a remission success rate of 90%,  at the Sloan Kettering hospital in New York.

However, the cost of this trial is prohibitively expensive – between $600,000 and $800,000.

This is where YOU can make a real difference and help save someone’s life.128c9eed-8299-469c-b731-b4ecb957753b

Matthew and his family are currently asking for donations to help fund his hospitalization, treatment and medical expenses. You can also contribute by donating prizes, big or small, to use in raffles and silent auctions, at fundraising events. All proceeds will be donated directly to Matthew.

Imagine if Matthew were your brother, your son, your husband, your friend.

Please consider helping out.
