The structural beam is in and electrical work is being done

It has once again been a super busy month in the house since I last posted!

The beam has been closed up and the tile has been installed

We have officially owned our home for one month, and it’s been completely transformed!!!

In the past month we have:
  • Completed demolition
  • Inserted a support beam
  • Closed and re-finished all opened walls and doorways
  • Re-directed plumbing
  • Installed lighting as well as extra electrical outletsI
  • Installed and grouted tile
  • Started wood flooring install
  • Installed kitchen
  • Started painting throughout the house

The kitchen cabinets starting to go in

As you can see a lot has been happening, and it was only possible due to organizing everything before we received the keys!  I obviously cannot stress this enough as it has made everything flow much more smoothly, and most importantly … QUICKLY!!!!

The main thing that happened this month by far was the installation of  the kitchen.

What you should always remember with a kitchen install is that it is NEVER perfect!

The best thing to do after your kitchen is finished being installed is to go around with painters tape and put small pieces on anything that needs to be fixed or adjusted.

All cabinets have officially been installed!

I suggest going through several times as it is really easy to miss something.  Your kitchen company will be expecting a call for a walk through so please do not hesitate to do so!  Once they come by to make the fixes, I suggest going through again to make sure that you are 100% happy!

I am hoping that everything in the house will be finished within the next two weeks, giving the entire project a one and half month timeline!

Hopefully on my next post you will see a finished home! Wish me luck!
