30 Aug Taming the Frizz
My name is Sam, and I’m thrilled to be Wise Women Montreal’s hair expert. Check back with me often for great hair tips, product suggestions, and tricks of the trade.
Over the summer, I’ve been using two amazing products on my curly-haired clients. Humidity can turn curls to frizz, which is never a good look (unless you’re channeling Diana Ross circa 1977).
The two products I’ve been using throughout the summer to help my clients beat the frizz and give them gorgeous curls are both by Kerastase:
- Oleo-Curl definition cream
- Boucles d’art sculptural curls
Combine both products and scrunch into towel-dried hair. Diffuse – and you’ll end up a beautiful head of frizz-free curls.

Posted at 14:14h, 03 SeptemberHi Sam! Thanks for the suggestions! I will have to try these out soon. Question – have you found anything for long, curly hair that helps with dryness and split ends? I rarely use a straightener (maybe twice a month) and I never blow-dry my hair, yet I find that my hair often feels dry/dead towards the end, and my ends seem to split faster than my non-curly haired friends who often straight and blow-dry their hair. I’m trying to grow my hair long but I have to trim it often so it looks healthy. Greatly appreciate your help!
Thanks!

Posted at 15:52h, 03 SeptemberHi Vanessa!
Kerastase has come out with a line of products for people who want to grow their hair out and don’t always want to cut a lot. It’s called Cristal liste. They have a shampoo for thick or thin hair. The conditioner works for both types of hair. They also have an oil you can use to help the dryness. It can be used on wet or dry hair. Hope this helps you out!
