Thanksgiving Centerpieces

The leaves are falling, the air is crisp and you can smell apple crumble baking in the oven from a mile away…all telltale signs that CenterpieceThanksgiving is right around the corner! You’ve got your checklist ready to go with all the traditional menu items such as turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, gravy and most importantly – your grandmother’s stuffing; and after reading L&L’s blog on How To Host a Stress Free Dinner Party, you have everything organized and feel confident that your Thanksgiving dinner will go off without a hitch. That is, until you look down at your dinner table and realize that something is missing…a fall-inspired centrepiece. Now don’t panic! Creating a beautiful harvest arrangement isn’t hard to do, especially when there are so many elements in nature (some even found in your own backyard) that can be used. There are plenty of options to suit everyone’s individual taste or budget, and always remember that a little creativity can go a long way!

If you want to get a little creative with your candle choice, you can cut the tops off your traditional fall fruit or vegetables and place a tea light inside – we love the idea of using pears, apples or miniature pumpkins!

If having flowers on your table is a must, why not skip the traditional vase and opt for a hollowed out pumpkin? Or maybe you prefer a modern approach…you can always white wash miniature pumpkins and/or squash and place them in a long rectangular box mixed with a few white roses.centerpiece3

These are just a few of the endless possibilities when it comes to creating a Thanksgiving centerpiece and we hope you are now inspired! Whether you’re hosting a large celebration, or spending this time of gratitude with a small group of friends and family, we hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

Eat, drink & be thankful!

Cheers,

The ladies of L&L
