You are important

If you asked my friends and family to describe me, the words confident and strong would no doubt be on the list. I’m not afraid to speak my mind and I thrive on taking chances and stepping outside of my comfort zone. But something most people don’t know is that there’s a side of me that needs to know I’m doing a good job and that I’m valued.

Validation is important to me.

I used to think that was a bad thing or a sign of weakness. But I’ve learned that wanting to be validated is ok, and that we all deserve to know we’re appreciated, seen and heard. At the end of the day, it feels great knowing that someone you care about thinks what you’re thinking, feeling or doing matters.

Because you are important. ❤
